Very pleased to have my portrait of the fabulous Phoebe as a Finalist in this years National Photographic Portrait Prize announced in Canberra last Friday. Covid19 rained on the parade of course, but the exhibition looked great. Thanks you to all the staff at the National Portrait Gallery for getting together such a brilliant exhibition under trying circumstance.

Very pleased to be selected again as a Finalist in the 2020 National Photographic Portrait Prize in Canberra. Images will be revealed at the National Gallery exhibition on Friday, March 13th.

My portrait of the artist Stephen Cummings has been selected as a finalist in the Martin Kantor Portrait Award, which runs in conjunction with the upcoming BIFB during August. I’m loving that a darkroom silver gelatin print has been chosen, and that it’s a pic of one of my favorite musicians.

Pleased to be a Finalist again in this years Olive Cotton Award at the Tweed Regional Gallery in NSW. with my diptych portrait of Dr.Rodney Syme. It’s always a great event, and I look forward to seeing the entire exhibition hung next month.

I was pleased that one of my portraits of Dr.Rodney Symes has been chosen as a finalist in this years Percival Photographic Portrait Prize. I approached Dr.Symes as a portrait subject after reading an article about his work with the ‘Dying With Dignity’ campaign. He has been a leading advocate in getting recent legislative laws changed concerning the issues around assisted dying.

I’m also very pleased to be a finalist in the Inaugural Martin Kantor Portrait Prize, which is honoring Australians that have made a significant contribution to Australian society. It runs in conjunction with the Ballarat Photo Bienale this year, and features a commission I shot of the exceptional Dr.Genivieve Goulding.

My local village fishmomger ‘John the Greek’ absolutely loved his photo shoot with us, and has proudly put up a small gallery of the shots in his fish shop!

I was thrilled to be a Finalist in this years Percival Award with my portrait of young architectural student Cameron.

Very pleased to be a Finalist again in the 2015 Olive Cotton Award at the Tweed River Gallery with my portrait of Niamh. I was a fan of the pioneering photographer Olive Cotton, and have a bit of a soft spot for this particular Award.
