I was pleased that one of my portraits of Dr.Rodney Symes has been chosen as a finalist in this years Percival Photographic Portrait Prize. I approached Dr.Symes as a portrait subject after reading an article about his work with the ‘Dying With Dignity’ campaign. He has been a leading advocate in getting recent legislative laws changed concerning the issues around assisted dying.

MAN WITHIN A MAN

November 28, 2017

Not sure why I find sidewalks endlessly fascinating?

RAISING EYEBROWS!

November 3, 2017

I had the great pleasure of working with the gorgeous Nicky Whelan on a recent Crownbet shoot. I always ask talent if they can raise up both eyebrows individually, and I find maybe only 10% of the population can actually perform that trick. It became our little ‘in joke’ with Nicky over the 4 day shoot!

THE BLOCKHEADS

October 16, 2017

The Block had an open inspection 2 blocks from my studio this weekend. The Zombies lined up for 6 blocks from 5 am to get a glimpse of some crappily renovated houses, unbelievable! This was the view out our front window. I honestly think some people need to go and get a life!

RIP TOM PETTY

October 2, 2017

One of the truly great rock legends has very sadly left us. Some pics here from the first Heartbreaker’s concert I saw circa 1978 when I was at college studying photography. Very sad day.

I have finally finished my¬† Tikki skate deck for the Moss Foundation Charity auction coming up soon. It’s fair to say a bit of blood was shed during the construction. Thinking of titling it ‘LITTLE PRICK’. It is extremely sharp.

MARTIN PARR MOMENT

September 18, 2017

I was clearly channeling Martin Parr with the Ricoh GR at the local market this weekend.
