Very sad to hear of Mary Ellen Mark’s passing. I met her once, around 1981 while on my first big professional assignment in Calcutta. I was at Mother Teresa’s mission, and she had been there shooting. I remember her as tough, eccentric, and electric with energy. Her body of work speaks for itself.
