Last week we retired our old faithful Big Bob. We was a custom built, high voltage, 10,000 watt second behemoth that was built in the days of f64 8X10 transparencies. He is just too powerful and out of date now, and it was with great sadness that he was decommissioned like an old navy battleship, 30 years of reliable, faithful service!

We were honored to collaborate with the band ‘USER’ for their album launch, which saw 100 unique vinyl albums pressed for their record launch. Three of my images were used and I thought they all scrubbed up pretty well for this unique art project. Well done all those who made this project possible.

Finally got my double sided copy of DEVO UNMASKED, published by Rocket 88 in London. They used 3 images I took in college, where DEVO played in a small bar called Club Soda in Montreal. It was a seminal moment in my photographic life, and I’m thrilled that images taken 40 years ago are being used today.

Congratulations to Matt Wilson and all the gang who put on a great night for the Moss Deck Foundation Charity Auction at Altman Gallery in Highett. Over $35k was raised on the night and it all goes directly to clean water projects in Africa. Lots of fantastic pieces. There was actually a bidding war over my deck!

Hi Everyone, it would be great for everyone to come to the skate deck auction on Oct.18th, where 100 artists donated beautiful works for this great cause. All proceeds go to clean water projects in Africa, a really worthwhile project.

I had a few problems with my first attempt, but eventually conquered the hi gloss look I was trying to achieve. Hope everyone comes along, it’s always a great night out!

It’s a sure sign winter is over when the horse races start. New work for the VRC Spring Racing Carnival on the steps of Southern Cross Station.

I was scrolling through a pic folder on my phone, and found this cluster of images. Made me think that photographers in general have a tendency to be slightly obsessive in natures.

Apparently, it took the early hispeed photography of Eadweard Muybridge for people to disbelieve that running horses always had one hoof contacting the ground at all times. Clearly not true!

You have to love Melbourne for turning on a glorious day mid winter! Got the Big Guns out for the horses. Thanks to Jockey Steph for keeping that beast straight and true down the track, not an easy task when a huge lens is spooking the horse.
